We have a new discovery regarding table topper....Stacey jumped on the machine to test it out
Simply take two pieces of fabric

1/2 yard which is the backing and border fabric

1/3 yard focus print or center of runner.

Stitch two pieces lengthwise on each side with right sides together. Open up and press keeping border fabric centered and even.

Open and trim ends up. Stitch with right sides together lining up border seams.

Open and form a point on each end topstitch in place.

Underside of table runner!

PANGUITCH QUILT WALK

If you are looking for a great get-away to a small town bursting at the seams with tradition Panguitch Quilt Walk is the event for you....

The story lives on...

The first winter in Panguitch 1864 was brutal. Food was scarce and the settlers were starving. A group of 7 men with a wagon and two oxen set out to get food from Parowan which is 40 miles away. In their weakened state, the men struggled with every footstep sinking up to their hips in the deep snow. Eventually they abonded the wagon and oxen and continued on foot. As they held a prayer circle kneeling on a quilt they discovered the quilt kept them from sinking in the snow. The men completed their journey by laying quilts on the deep snow and walking across them. The story became known as the quilt walk and is treasured in the tiny town of Panuitch Utah.

Lazy Daisy Cottage goes to Panguitch

It looks like it belongs

a big city look in a

tiny remote town.

Fun quilts, kits and fabrics for sale!

Dana's husband.... Daryl along with her son, Brayden (yellow shirt) along with a stray we claim (Taylor) came to do the loading and then left Dana behind to complete the booth and teach classes for the weekend.

If you are looking for a good time these are the girls for you...

From left to right

Joanne, Pam, Donna (dana's twin) personality of course....

HERE IS MY STAR STUDENT ....

CHARLOTTE

DARLING.... DARLING!

The goal for the quilt walk committe was to raise enough money to complete the tribute park to the 7 men who saved the town. This finally happened.

A plaque with the story.

Each of the men are represented by a bench with their name along with a brief history.

Mark you calendar for next year the second weekend in June and plan to attend the

PANGUITCH QUILT WALK

you can take classes and meet some amazing people..

They have a dutch oven dinner and a dinner show protraying the journey to Parowan the weather is delightful and of course the resorts...well you can't beat the accommodations!
And the importance of quilting....

Never under estimate the value and investment you are making....

Remember the men made the journey and got the glory

BUT
THE WOMEN SAVED THE DAY WITH THEIR TREASURED QUILTS!

Call the shop and Dana will give you more details....

Get your quilt group together and have a good time.

Wait for Wednesday more details and laughs....
