Aprons with Ruffle pumpkin roll recipe

As promised the

Pumpkin Roll Recipe

Pumpkin Roll

1cup sugar

3/4 cup flour

1 tsp. salt

1 tsp. baking soda

1/2 tsp. cinnamon

3 eggs

2/3 cup mashed pumpkin

1/2 cup chopped walnuts

Filling

8 oz. cream cheese softened

1 Tbsp. butter

1 tsp. vanilla

1 cup powdered sugar

Preheat ove to 350. Grease a jelly roll pan 15x10. Cut wax paper to fit leave an inch overhang on the short ends. Lightly grease wax paper and sides of pan.

Mix all cake ingredients except nuts together pour over wax paper. Sprinkle nuts on top. Bake for 14-15 minutes until edges pull away.

On a clean dishtowel dust a layer of powdered sugar. When cake is done remove and place upside down on tea towel. Peel gently the wax paper starting on the short ends. While cooling mix the filling. When cool spread filling over the roll and re-roll then refridgerate. Cover with plastic or wax paper.

HOT FUDGE SAUCE

1 cube butter

1 sq. baking chocolate unsweetened

1 cup sugar

1 can sweetened condensed milk

Combine all ingredients and heat stir on low to med until sugar disolved and sauce in thick about 4-5 minutes.

Steamed Carrots with Pepper Peach Glaze

A delicious side dish for the holidays.

Boil and cook carrots to fork tender and salt.

Drain remove from heat. Place back in pan and top with 2-3 Tbsp Hot Pepper Peach Preserves

1 -2 Tbsp. butter and 1-2 Tbsp brown sugar. Add more sugar or Preserves to taste!

Note just some tips for stitching the minkee quilts. All seams about 1/4 to 1/2" just catch the seams. I find maybe a little bigger than 1/4" works best. Cut all strips into 10" blocks and stitch with 5 across and 6 down. There is no set pattern. To stitch together pin blocks and don't worry too much about the seam lining up do the best you can it is stretchy and the seams don't show too much after you quilt it up. We use a batting which is an heirloom 80-20 blend thin batting. Quilt as desired we do a loose meander to keep the quilt soft and cuddly. After it has been quilted stitch your binding on cutting strips 2" wide. Using a single layer place on top side of quilt and stitch 1/4" seam like a regular binding. Bring over to the back side and hand stitch down. The minkee will roll under and you can have a finished edge. Be creative and enjoy the cuddle.
