stitchin' and pitchin'

Not only are we into stitchin'...we are also into pitchin'
We are fans of Dixie High Softball!
Dana Brooks, the cottage's owner, keeps everyone updated on the Flyers' postseason successes.
Her daughter- in- law, Kim Brooks, is the pitcher.
Kim has quite a story... She missed out on her Jr. season to get married and have a baby... she is a perfect example of how your dreams in life don't have to end. She has shown everyone that when life throws a curve ball what is important is how you square up to the plate and SWING!
She is ranked as one of the best pitchers in the state and last week showed her stuff, by pitching 2 perfect games... NO HITTERS!
Here she is with her biggest fans... husband, Brayden and son, Bentley!
She knew that getting married her Junior Year of High School would mean making sacrifices, but with the support of her family, friends, and a great team... her story is one to be remembered!

We LOVE #7!

Our Front Porch...

One of our favorite features of our cottage is the front porch!
When we chose this location we immediately fell in love with it!
We imagined quilts hanging and flower pots growing...
A few things we really didn't expect, but are certainly glad to have are...
husbands waiting...
So... feel free to bring your man to our porch!
We think you will work out great! He can sit on the porch and read the newspaper about dismal economic times you can do your best to stimulate the economy.
You can tell him you are being patriotic by shopping... The possibilities are endless...
You can pick out the perfect fabric, or take a class, or shop for some fun gifts...

And... he will entertain himself and ,hopefully, a few buddies on the porch!
p.s. if you get here and realize you've left your purse at home...
It is a good thing he is just steps away with his wallet!
Don't worry...
We have amazing purses for sale too!
We are here to take care of you!
